Whoa Nelly...

I sat down to create a blog and remembered that I had this one!!  And it's been toooo long....life has been so crazy but now I'm back, for reals.  Let's get started with a recipe that makes a tummy smile, at least in this house!

Chili if you want to be more specific!  I love it & it's now starting to be the type of weather that calls for it-woo hoo!

For years my Mom would take HOURS to make chili...literally.  I never showed one bit of interest in cooking until I got married 21 yrs. ago and I had a hungry husband looking at me wondering what I was going to do to fill his tummy!  **funny story...the first morning we returned from our honeymoon I prepared opened a can of cinnamon rolls for him, put them in a pan and put them in the oven.  I'm not kidding here peeps, I had no idea what to do!  I waited about 10 minutes & well, they looked done.  I iced them and lovingly handed them to him.  I was so proud!  He took a bite and I noticed that when he pulled the cinnamon roll away it seemed to be stretchy and doughy.  Hmmm, what did I do wrong?!?!  Simple, they were underbaked...WAY underbaked.  But my KISA (knight in shining armor) ate every single one of them.  Now that's love!

Okay so fast-forward and I can make a mean cinnamon roll from a can now!

Back to chili.  Simple is best for me.  I will never proclaim to be something I'm not so I'll boldly stand up and say, "I don't enjoy cooking".  Nope.  But I have the KISA & our 4 kiddos that always seem to be hungry so I jump in & get it done.  Good, simple, full tummies, happy momma :)

Let's go:

~one pound of turkey meat (our preference, hamburger, whatever)
~2 cans of Bush's Chili Magic
~2 (15oz) cans of tomato sauce
~one can of corn (drained)...yes corn!
~1 jar of Pace Picante Sauce (mild, 15oz. jar)

Cook up the meat, open all cans, mix together and you have a chili that every. single. person. that has ever eaten it LOVES!  This recipe takes all of about 10 minutes to make.  Let's add in a little garlic bread on the side and dinner is done-yum!

This recipe works for our family & friends...your recipe may knock the socks off the ones you serve it to and for that, woo hoo!  Seriously!  As mommas, wife's & overall women, DO WHAT WORKS FOR YOU!  That's all that matters ♥
